After rebranding from the Research Park Corporation to Nexus Louisiana, the Baton Rouge, La., tech incubator needed to prepare multiple reports to highlight its annual performance and upcoming 30th anniversary.

Nexus Louisiana had a long track record of coaching, capital and connections to share with the broader community, including an extensive list of programs, events and partnerships. But the organization needed help with telling its story in a meaningful way. After partnering with Rep Cap, Nexus Louisiana was able to provide the community with printed and online reports in time for one of its biggest events of the year.

Background

As a milestone drew closer for Nexus Louisiana, the organization knew it needed help creating both an annual report and a more extensive 30th anniversary report that demonstrated the impact the organization had made in the local entrepreneurial community. 

Challenge

Nexus Louisiana had an extensive history spanning many years of programs, events and community support. The challenge it faced was telling the story of the past year along with a summary of decades’ worth of stories, challenges and successes. 

While recognizing meaningful moments throughout the years was important, Nexus Louisiana also needed to highlight current programs and events while presenting a framework for future developments.

Solution

The organization partnered with Rep Cap to help create both reports, along with interactive landing pages. Rep Cap interviewed leaders at Nexus Louisiana for an in-depth understanding of each program. The team then used insights from Nexus Louisiana to create eye-catching reports and interactive landing pages for the organization’s website, highlighting its impact on the community through stories, data, graphics and photos.

Results

Nexus Louisiana was very pleased with both reports, and the community was eager to pick up physical copies during Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week, one of the organization’s premier events. Creating reports that could live across print and digital versions allowed Nexus Louisiana to tell its story to the community while offering encouragement and inspiration for the future.
